balefire vs balefire

je me demandais... d'apres vous que ce passerait il dans un combat, ou les deux opposants se balancaient du balefire en meme temps??
+tt les deux mort?
+ celui qui a fait la plus puissante vis?
1- Les canalisateurs ne sont pas assez puissants pour "effacer" l'autre avant le tissage du Malefeu (autrement dit, même s'ils se font toucher, leur fil dans le Dessin ne sera pas brûlé assez loin, et le Malefeu sera lancé des deux côtés). Dans ce cas, ils meurent tous les deux.
2- L'un des deux (appelons-la Alice) peut "effacer" l'autre (Bob) jusqu'à un instant dans le passé où Bob n'aura pas encore tissé le Malefeu. Mais Bob n'est pas assez puissant pour cela. Dans ce cas-là, Alice survit mais pas Bob.
3- Alice et Bob sont assez puissants pour brûler le fil de l'autre assez loin dans le passé. C'est là que ça devient intéressant Alice tisse le Malefeu. Elle se fait toucher par un autre tissage de Malefeu. Elle est enlevée du Dessin, avant même d'avoir tissé quoi que ce soit. Il en va de même pour Bob.
Autrement dit, s'il y a (au moins) un tissage de Malefeu, il ne peut y en avoir qu'un, car son existence annule l'autre.
Or comme la situation est symétrique, les deux tissages sont soit valides tous les deux, soit annulés tous les deux.
Il ne peut pas y en avoir deux, car l'un annule l'autre. La seule solution possible c'est qu'il n'y ait aucun tissage. Alice et Bob tombent raides morts dès qu'ils essaient de canaliser, ou alors ils sont brûlés. Ou encore Alice fuit et Bob l'Eponge.
(faut pas réfléchir à des heures pareilles. C'est mal.)

He always liked destroying a man in sight of one of that man's triumphs, if he could. Lacking that, somewhere the man had marked as his would do." Rand realizes this must mean the Waygate. "A great many plans will have to be relaid if you let yourself be killed now." The Wanderer runs into an alley and vanishes. He had time to make a gateway, but Rand felt nothing. He felt nothing at the balefire either.Fin.
Ce que tu décris Sihaya, c'est quand deux flux de Balefire se croisent, sans même forcément viser personne.
La FAQ dit ceci:
"When anything is destroyed with balefire, it ceases to exist before the moment of its destruction, like a thread that burns away from where the flame touched it. The greater the power of the balefire, the further back in time it ceases to exist. The strongest [Moiraine] can manage will remove only a few seconds from the Pattern...For as far back as you destroy [something], whatever it did during that time no longer happened. Only the memories remain, for those who saw or experienced it." [TFOH: 6, Gateways, 119]
That pretty much explains it. Something that is BFed is erased backwards in time; the amount of erasing depends on the amount of Power put into the BF.
Rand, at full power, with an angreal, managed to erase Rahvin back about half an hour.
Note that balefire does NOT erase every single action the victim performed in his life.
When Rahvin was BFed, Morgase did not become un-Compelled, sitting back in the Caemlyn palace.
If Lanfear were balefired, the Bore would not cease to exist, since it was created over 3000 years ago, and I doubt that the capacity for creating that strong a beam of BF exists. (Plus, if it WAS done, the poor Pattern would probably unravel completely; see below.)
If person A balefires person B, and then person C balefires person A, does person B come back to life? This one has cropped up time and again over the years, but RJ appears to have contradicted himself over the answer.
For instance, William Carew reported that RJ said, at a Brisbane signing in 1999, that if the balefire from Person C was strong enough, then yes, Person B would come back to life.
But, contrariwise, Paul Ward received a letter from RJ (dated March 2000) in which he stated, "The balefire weave exists wholly or partly outside time, which removes it from its own effect." Which implies the opposite.
Désolé j'ai dû mettre plein de balises spoiler6. Mais en gros ça dit ceci:
- Quelque chose qui est touché par un Balefire est effacé en remontant le temps, plus le Balefire est puissant, plus l'effacement est grand.
- Question: si Aelghir* envoie un Balefire sur Bob le Juste*, puis Caldazar* fait de même sur Aelghir, est-ce que Bob revient à la vie?
Réponse: apparemment RJ s'est contredit sur ce point . La question reste donc ouverte...

arf, peut rien lire avant d'avoir finit le livre, grrr, c'est complexant. heureusement je viens de finir the lord of chaos. (terrible ce livre, rempli d'evenements de fou, mais la fin tombe abrute. il faut jamais commencer un livre de la roue du temps sans avoir le suivant...)
